Our Commitment

The "Dancing Without Borders or Limits" program exists entirely for students with disabilities, so for us accessibility is not a legal clause — it is the heart of what we do. This site was built to meet the requirements of Israel's Equal Rights for Persons with Disabilities regulations (Service Accessibility Adjustments, 2013) and Israeli Standard 5568 for web content accessibility at level AA, based on the WCAG 2.1 guidelines.

Accessibility Features on This Site

  • Full keyboard navigation: the entire site can be operated with a keyboard only, with a clear, visible focus indicator.
  • Skip link: every page starts with a "Skip to content" link for keyboard and screen-reader users.
  • Semantic structure: pages use a proper heading hierarchy, labelled navigation landmarks, and ARIA attributes where needed.
  • Alternative text: images carry text alternatives for screen readers.
  • Colour contrast: text and background colours were chosen to meet the required contrast ratios.
  • Reduced motion: the site respects your operating system's "reduce motion" setting and minimises animations accordingly.
  • Responsive display: the site adapts to every screen size and supports browser text resizing.
  • Accessible forms: form fields have clear labels and understandable error messages.

Known Limitations

  • Embedded YouTube videos: caption availability depends on the video's settings on YouTube. We are working to add captions to the videos under our control.
  • PDF files: the scanned magazine article presented on the site is a scanned document that is not fully screen-reader accessible. We will gladly provide its content in an alternative format on request.
